Review on πŸ”Œ Wireless Keyboard Mouse Supported 4 Port VGA KVM Switch with USB Hub, Audio, and Push Button Switching by Jake Powell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Simple plug n play with good value for money!

The JideTech 4-Port VGA KVM Switch is one of the simplest solutions for connecting multiple computers to a single display. The switch looks well made with a metal body and requires no external power supply or software, a true plug and play device! Pros: The purchase comes with 4 VGA/Audio/Microphone combo cables, making it a really good value. .The switch has an LED indicator that lets you know what device is currently connected. No external power required. No software or drivers required. 3 USB 2.0 output ports (keyboard, mouse, peripherals for printer or other devices). Resolution (2048*1536) Cons: Does not support multimedia keyboards. Does not support wireless peripherals (but most VGA switches do not). Overall the Switch works well and plug n play is as easy as it gets. You get some nice features for the price and the included VGA cables add value. The support for wireless peripherals is a bit of a shame and there really isn't a workaround for it (I couldn't find a way to disable the emulator). If you are configured to use a wireless keyboard and mouse, you will need an HDMI or DisplayPort KVM switch. Another alternative would be to purchase a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, which can connect to multiple devices, but would then require that all devices connected to the Switch also support Bluetooth. I have contacted customer service through the Revain Contact Seller service. Response time was very quick - within 24 hours (including Sunday!). Unfortunately I was informed that there is no way to disable the emulator on the switch of this model. Maybe they will include an emulator switch or key sequence in an updated future model.

Pros
  • Higher resolution output
Cons
  • Unfashionable
