Worked right after installation. But failed after 17 miles

2017 Ford F150 - Installation was pretty easy. Bought a TPMS programmer but didn't use it. They are programmed to work with my truck right out of the box, and they did. Unfortunately, after 17 miles on the freeway, my truck gave me a TPMS error and I tried everything I knew to fix it. These blocks cannot even be initialized by my programmer. I tried to think maybe I need. I even disconnected the battery thinking this might clear the code and the new TPMS units would work again. No luck so far. It would be a hassle to remove and return them. So maybe I just threw away $79.
