The surface area of the pegs is large enough to access the roof rack on my Grand Cherokee. My OEM 2" receiver has the step loose. Also, the clutch pin holes are smaller than others, and the latch pin I've used to attach items to my receiver for the past eight years doesn't fit. You must use the smaller diameter non-locking clutch pin included in the kit. I'll probably find stronger pads to make it more reliable. To be clear, the improper fit will result in it bobbing up and down, left and right, and up and down when you stand on it. This can cause someone to lose their balance and fall, injuring themselves.
