Installed in a 2017 Toyota Sienna. On children's sports equipment, the third row of seats is folded down most of the time, so I was looking for a stepper motor for easier access. I also bought a Curt Trailer Corner Lock - 23504 for my sanity. Added some rubber washers (thanks to another reviewer). This stepper didn't trigger my reversing alarm sensor on purpose, which I was pleased about.

Easy installation. One star deducted as the hole is not the standard size. Works well with the included box pin but not the standard trailer lock pin. To use one, everything has to be a little bigger. The package I received didn't include the double-sided tape that was specified in the instructions. This tape is used to attach a plastic wedge to the unit to reduce stage "wiggle" in the receiver box.

I have not seen (as stated in the attached documents) double tape to attach to the stage. securely fastened. very nice, shiny and durable to stand on. allows you to reach the top of the car and not slip. I bought a separate locking pin but the one that came with the kit also works fine with the clutch pin attached. RHINO branded products and have not been disappointed yet

This is a good step. I bought it mainly to prevent people from bumping into the sensors on the back of the truck, so it should work fine. *** Update rating ***. On August 14, 2014, we were involved in a rear-end collision at 40 km/h when we were stopped at a red light. My step was very helpful in absorbing some of the impact. just ordered a second one. $50 is best to avoid minor damage or help build a BMW 740. lol if i can i will upload pics.

We had a collision when part of the impact hit this product. We had a brand new baby in the car with us and it was scary! We believe fitting it to our vehicle contributed to the amount of damage our SUV sustained. From now on we will always have something like this. We originally bought it for our kids so they could easily get into our SUV. It wasn't until we got back that we realized the safety aspect of this item. Now we encourage everyone to buy something like this!

The design is good but this product is poorly designed and made. I bought one of these for my BMX X5 but sent it back the same day I received it. Holes don't match! The holes on the left are 1/4" higher than the right. When I tried to insert the locking pin for assembly, I immediately saw that the pin was crooked and not even straight. Based on the reviews I read before buying this product, I should have avoided it. It looks good and isn't badly made, it's just not the right size to work well for its intended purpose. It's unstable. It fits just like any other hitch accessory - with just enough tilt to fit easily into the socket. The surface area of the pegs is large enough to access the roof rack on my Grand Cherokee. My OEM 2" receiver has the step loose. They seem to have anticipated this and included a plastic gasket and double sided tape to fill the gap. There are several problems with this. First, I have gaps on both sides. and also the top, so a gasket won't fix it. Second, there was no double sided tape in my package.
