I was hesitant to buy this kettle because of the negative feedback on actual capacity and problems with hot water splattering all over the place, but I'm glad I bought it anyway! I've had it for about a month now and I've used it at least once a day and sometimes two or three times for infusing coffee and tea. Aesthetically, this teapot is beautiful. The finishes and design are truly stunning in person and definitely make a statement. It is unique, slim, light and compact as advertised. In terms of functionality, it definitely holds at least 32 oz / 4 cups of water, if not a bit more, around 34-36 oz, and boils without spilling. The gooseneck style makes it very easy to pour out a steady stream of water without much effort. However, when the kettle is full, you don't actually have to tilt it to pour out full water. If you tilt it like a normal kettle with a wide spout, it pours out from above, but this is not necessary for proper functioning. The top is not designed to prevent water spills as it has multiple holes to allow steam to escape from the kettle as the water boils. However, if you use it as intended, there is no spillage problem. For what it's worth I've filled it full more than once and poured it successfully without spilling, moving slowly and bending just enough to let the gooseneck do its job. However, this kettle provides the perfect amount of water for my carafe, which has a capacity of about 32 oz / 4 cups (see my photo). There's definitely more to it than just a cup or two of water, despite what one reviewer mentioned. All in all this kettle is really amazing and works very well when used as intended. I highly recommend it!
