I must be doing it wrong. I use these little 1/2" slip rings for a lot of finishing jobs. When I came across this one that claims to have a locking mechanism for easy changing of slip rings, I was very excited. Long gone are the days of using this one fiddled with the tiny locking screw and then tried to get the old ring off. While the rings are easier to put on and take off and it's true that there is no longer a screw, just a snap and shackle mechanism, it's also true that there aren't abrasive belts holds up nearly as well as the old style drums so they keep crashing in the middle of use which makes me sad.
