Makes a nice smooth cup of joe but not too quickly or too much. You can put as many coffees in the basket as you like. The glass carafe is fine, but I don't like handling it. I have arthritis and I drop things. A lot of. I put the filter on a tall mug and pour boiling water over it. The mug stays in the sink in case it tips over. That's how I broke the other version of this thing, but it went all over the floor. The carafe is difficult to clean with large hands. Rinse immediately. The filter is difficult to clean from wet contaminants. I use a paper filter in the filter, it's easier for my stiff fingers to pull it out.
