Review on 🔧 Honeywell 50002883001 50002883 001 Coverplate: Exceptional Replacement Accessory for Honeywell Devices by Richard Cuneo

I've seen some reviews/comments saying you can use this with a Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat and some say you can't. Due to lack of options I ordered it My situation: The old (larger) thermostat was mounted on top of the junction box (but it was attached to the drywall, not the junction box itself). The Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat was smaller than the other thermostats and you could see both the junction box and the unpainted part around the thermostat. Thoughts on size: I used the smallest lid that came with it. I really wish there was a third smaller cap included. but with no options, I'll take what I can. Mounting: The cover was attached directly to the drywall. There are plastic tabs around the screw holes that easily lift the thermostat off the wall. The gap bothered me for some reason, and I shaved off the protrusions with a razor blade. The holes in the thermostat base line up with the holes in the cover. Overall: You can use it with a Honeywell Wi-Fi Smart Thermostat (at least I could). I like it but wish it was smaller.
