This tool is easy to use and leaves an even radius on the seal. I've had one for years and finally had to throw it away because the silicone I was using stuck to it so tightly I couldn't even remove it from the silicone applicator. This was the first time this had happened to me and it was my fault I had to wipe it clean before it healed. I have found that the best results are achieved if I first seal the area to be embossed slightly wider than the radius selected on the tool on both sides and then apply putty. Then remove the tape immediately by pulling it at a very shallow angle, almost flat against the wall and at a slight angle to the sealant. In other words, you don't want to pull in a way that tears the sealant off the wall it's attached to. Radius selection is done by pulling out the black silicone tip, rotating to the selected radius and readjusting the tip by dragging it over the triangular end of the tool handle. I wish they sold replacement silicone tips.
