Review on Proscenic M7 Navigation Powerful Electronically Controlled by Born Bowman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Read this before you buy the M7

The Proscenic M7 is an exceptionally well-made robot vacuum, packed with features and promising. Well, that promise quickly turns into outright annoyance once you realize that the application required for full functionality has critical bugs. The Proscenic Home App reduces this full-featured device to what you can do with the included remote control. I've spent a lot of time repeatedly trying to pair the vacuum with my phone and add it to our Wi-Fi network. I've tried both on a Google Pixel 3XL with the latest Android and a brand new iPad Mini 5 with the latest IOS. As for background, I am technology oriented and build my own computers. The last thing I usually have to do is call tech support; What you can't do with this product, you can only email them. The manual and quick setup guide also do not provide manual setup instructions. I was finally able to get the vacuum to connect to my wifi after logging into my router, disabling the 5ghz band, restarting and then uninstalling and reinstalling the Proscenic Home app, mobile data on my phone Disabled, the phone set, and the vacuum cleaner just a few feet away from the router and the Proscenic vacuum's Wi-Fi connection. I had tried it many times without success and honestly don't know why it worked back then. To add to the confusion, Proscenic has more than one vacuum application; They are all underestimated. The M7 comes with the accessories shown in the photo, including a water tank, mop head, microfiber cloth, extra rotating brush, extra filter and remote control. The instructions are limited to basic functionality and don't consider the manual setup you will likely need to make it work with the app. I've attached a few screenshots with limited information displayed when the vacuum can't connect and when it can't connect to Wi-Fi. I would recommend the vacuum despite the terrible app until yesterday when it wouldn't activate. according to the cleaning schedule and the app was not connected to the vacuum cleaner. I've tried restarting the phone, turning the vacuum off and on again. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail and ended up removing the vacuum from the device list; Now the vacuum cleaner no longer connects to my Android phone or my iPad or to our WiFi network. I would stay away from this and any Proscenic product until they completely overhaul their crappy app. Update: The manufacturer contacted me and confirmed a serious issue with their app, then offered a free replacement and asked me to video record all the steps I took. went through trying to get it to work. I'll just hand it back to Revane; let her find out This was after we moved and I tried unsuccessfully to get it working with a new ISP.
