Review on DEWALT DCV580 DCV581H Assembly 5140128 68 2PK by Steve Griffin

The first lasted almost a year with occasional use and then the hose came off the fitting that attaches to the vacuum cleaner body. The second lasted about 2 months and the same thing happened. The original hose lasted much longer than both and given the price, the question is whether to just buy a new vacuum and hope for an improved design, or buy a different hose. Or try to somehow glue the hose back to the fitting. I really like the portability of this vacuum and I have many Dewalt tools and batteries but I just don't know if I should buy another set of hoses.
