To decorate the office at work. The remote works well; There is a button on the USB device that can be used to activate different colors. I think I got it to do the fading like that once too, but then I couldn't get it to work like that again. No problems with the remote control, although some colors look different on the remote control, but this seems to cause color excess with real light sources. The "white" color is more like light blue, but that doesn't bother me. I wish it was offered pink (which looks nice during the fade setting but can't be selected with the remote). Brightness is fairly good for all colors except red/orange, but that's not uncommon. The blue and green are REALLY bright and look amazing. I love how clear and distraction-free the cables are. Purple is where you see blue next to purple and it doesn't go together perfectly, but I think it's beautiful that way. It was only this year but will be updated in the future, maybe next Christmas.
