My 11 year old girl said she wanted to learn "embroidery". So I bought her a beginner's book as a gift, which included step-by-step instructions on how to learn embroidery and cross-stitch techniques. I've included this "Starter" Cross Stitch Kit and "Starter" Embroidery Kit as a complete gift basket with everything you need to get started. With all the colorful yarn included in this set, the presentation looked pretty festive. she liked it! I was going to buy the plastic grille separately when I found this kit. The plastic net varies in price but tends to be more expensive making it a very attractive set, especially with the extra tools and mini-strands. Everything you need to get started already included. We may have to roll them into balls if they start to get tangled.
