When I first hooked up this system I thought the mids and highs sounded pretty decent, but the bass was almost non-existent. For comparison, I bought 3-inch LX-S3 waterproof speakers. WOW, how good does this BOSS system sound in comparison! I've heard that before. After listening to the LX-S3 and then playing the same song on the Boss system, I was much happier with the Bosch. The sound is much richer, more correct and the bass is not too weak for such a small speaker (so I bought an additional 4" subwoofer to compensate for the sag). Now I will install the BOSS system on my moped. This system can also be incredibly loud. and without much distortion. I'm pretty damn impressed with the sound considering the modest price tag of $63. Sure it can't be compared to a Bose or any other high end system, but I'll be pretty happy rocking these little speakers to and from the beach!
