I would put off buying this pound for a few years because it's expensive. I often pound boneless chicken breasts to 1/4 inch thickness and this device makes it easier without breaking the breast meat down the middle - a problem I often run into with a jackhammer. surfaces and don't be afraid to smack the meat hard for faster results. My girlfriend likes the hammer style more than this one. I like this one the best and I'm glad I finally spent some extra money on this beautiful kitchen tool.
