Okay, maybe it's just me, but this anvil and stamp set is awkward to use. I had to use multiple binding sets to one which was decent. If there's a trick to using this, I didn't get it. The problem is that the anvil is too curved and too flat, so when tilted, the latches slide sideways, causing the cap and socket to slip out of the anvil and bending the post in the socket. I don't think there's anything wrong with the latches, just a tool. However, if you don't have a tool that works properly, what's the point of wasting fasteners or ruining the hard work that went into a leather project?
