Review on 🎨 Etch A Sketch Classic Red Drawing Toy: Unleash Creativity with Magic Screen for Ages 3 and Up by Heather Shaw

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's not the same quality as when I was a kid.

Looks good and feels good overall, but the big downside is there's a lot less grey, powdery stuff inside than there was when we were grown-ups and kids. easy to "erase" - turn Etch-a-Sketch upside down, shake it a bit and get a nice clean silver "screen" to sketch again. a while, and do it right to fully cover the glass and get a decent silver screen. Nevertheless, the spots are somewhat uneven. As with many other things in modern life, they cut everything down to the bone to try to maximize profits. I think it could help the product being profitable enough to last that long, but to be honest, it's a lot less cool as a toy if you can't get a nice, high-contrast, smooth silver to sketch on, and if it takes you 10 tries to even get it up clear the "good enough i think" level. Nice that there are new ones. Better to return the old ones and pay ten euros more, IMHO.
