Good water but mostly a pain in the ass

I had high hopes for this jug and at first I thought it was a wise choice but I was wrong. Filtered water tastes good, at least when the filters are running. You'll likely find that other reviewers have mentioned the excruciatingly slow filtering process, only to be given instructions to remove the filter, rap it on the counter a few times, and reattach it. They also say that this only happens with a small percentage of filters. After my first filter was finished, I bought 5 packs of filters. 3 out of 5 of them had this problem and one of them was so bad straight out of the box I had to throw it out. Another thing I hated was the pitcher. Pouring was generally uncomfortable, and several times during pouring, when there was still water in the upper tank, the lid would fly off and water would slosh everywhere. Was it user error? Should I have learned from this? I'll admit it was partly my fault for not being more careful, but when you're always waiting for your water (due to a filter problem) you can get a little impatient. The jug isn't a deal breaker, but for me the unreliability of the filters was. After my last filter, I threw the can in the trash. I insisted on Polish feather jugs for a while and then bought a table top reverse osmosis filter which I really like.
