Review on ⏲️ Wrenwane Upgraded Digital Kitchen Timer - Simple Operation, Big Digits, Loud Alarm, Magnetic Backing, Stand - White (1) (1) (1) by Jordan Serba

Does exactly what it's supposed to do

This is the second Wrenwane timer I've bought from Revain. The old one was fine until it slipped off the hood and fell into a pot of boiling water. This pretty much ended its useful life as a timer. I would call this a new and improved model of an old Wrenwane timer I bought. They got rid of the beep that would sound every time a button was pressed, or if the minutes or seconds button was pressed and held, it would sound as each number was counted. In fact, I'm so used to it that sometimes it feels strange to press the buttons on the new timer and hear nothing but an eerie silence. The new timer is accurate and reliable just like the old one, allowing you to set the time in minutes and seconds. It also counts elapsed time if you'd rather see how much time has passed or elapsed. I've never used it this way, but you can if you want. The magnets on the back are smaller on the new timer but appear to be stronger than the old timer (one of the reasons it ended up on a pot of boiling water). There's also a small stand that slides out so you can put it on the counter if you like. I use magnets to hold it on the hood and it seems rock solid. The numbers are big and the alarm clock is very loud and clear so you can hear it in another room or out on the deck. However, an hour button would be nice. To set the timer for more than an hour, you have to hold the minutes button, which will quickly increase the numbers until you reach 60+ minutes, until you reach 99, after which the numbers will start over. at zero minutes. Therefore, it is impractical to sync a slow-cooked roast or turkey to this timer, for example. You can of course reset the timer every hour and a half. The second button is (to me) less useful than the hour button since most recipes are not tied to a second. On the other hand, when using a timer in stopwatch mode, counting seconds is very useful. I just don't use it that way. I can and sometimes use my iPhone as a timer. It also has a stopwatch. However, the iPhone cost a lot more than the ten dollars this little timer cost. This timer is simple, easy to use and perfect for my purposes as a kitchen timer, making it the go-to choice for most cooking tasks. highlighted.
