First of all I am not an avid golfer and have never used practice balls other than sniff balls. A few years ago I loved spending time in the field but not so much lately. However, I do like to go out into the sprawling backyard with short irons and hit a few for fun. Of course, wiffle balls are better than nothing, but they're too light and won't go far, even if they're not knocked over by the wind. and I am very pleased with how well this ball is working for me. They're lighter, of course, but they have the comfortable feel of a real golf ball and seem close to what a real golf ball can fly.
