If you saw my review of the 8-quart stock pot in this product line, then you'll remember that pot is what started it all for me. After using that pot, I just knew I had to replace all of my other pots with this set. And that's exactly what I did! And I couldn't be happier!Much of that review also applies here, so what follows will be similar.I'm Italian. You can probably see where this is going.From the moment you unbox these pots, you'll be struck by how incredibly well made they are. The non-stick coating is unlike anything I've seen or felt before. I have Calphalon pots that aren't this well made, and they cost much more. The heat distribution plates on the bottom work amazingly well (and they're also decorative in their own right).With other brands, I've often had an issue with glass lids because they tend to have these areas either around the edge or where the handles attach that collect water. Water that just sits there and stagnates, and there's nothing you can do about it. Not so with these lids. They shed water perfectly.I've had them through the dishwasher several times, and there's no discoloration as a result.That said, the heat distribution plates on the bottoms will discolor slightly after you've exposed them to open flame (I have a gas range), but this is natural, and it really doesn't look bad at all.
