I bought these to get rid of the UVB bulbs I had. The lamps are built into a standard terrarium lamp with a porcelain base. The first lamp worked less than four hours. The second runs for a little over a week during the day, but I'm wondering if it turns on every time I flip the switch. My tortoise loves basking underneath in combination with the infrared lamp, much more so than the UVB lamps I had before. She loves it but I was expecting to spend way more hours with them than I got.
