I bought these to get rid of the UVB bulbs I had. The lamps are built into a standard terrarium lamp with a porcelain base. The first lamp worked less than four hours. The second runs for a little over a week during the day, but I'm wondering if it turns on every time I flip the switch. My tortoise loves basking underneath in combination with the infrared lamp, much more so than the UVB lamps I had before. She loves it but I was expecting to spend way more hours with them than I got.

We ordered these 50 watt cases for the python ball case. We also ordered 100 watts and have no problems with it. We ordered them on Wednesday and the next Monday they were burned out. The work was done by Monday afternoon. We have a timer and it lasted less than 60 hours before it burned out and there is no way to contact the seller or get a partial refund or lamp replacement. It's possible the blown one was defective, so we hooked up another one to see how it works.

I bought these bulbs for my bearded dragons as they are advertised as heat bulbs for bearded dragons. I just put in a lightbulb this morning, less than 5 hours later it exploded in my tank, not my mount from the ceiling, leaving a glass blast all over half of the tank. Thank goodness my dragon was still in his lair at the time, because it could have ended very badly: either a cut or death.
