Review on πŸ“ž Panasonic KX-TGA641T Metallic Black Extra Handset for the KX-TG64xx Series by Cynthia Guarente

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Great addition to an existing set.

About a year ago we bought a Panasonic KX-TG6421 unit with a base station and two remote controls from Wal-Mart because the previous unit we had was still in stock after we moved, and we needed something quick. . Needless to say, with the advances in technology, the new set was much better than the half price old one. The only problem was that there weren't enough phones and Wal-Mart didn't have them. Revain comes to the rescue again. This handset works great with Wal-Mart's less expensive KX-TG6421 base station, with the added benefit of backlit keys. The coolest, if sometimes annoying, feature of this set is the ability to announce the caller. It will say something like "call from". Each phone can have its own phone book with the ability to exchange numbers between phones. An operating frequency of 5.8MHz makes calls clearer, and some tweaks in the electronics mean it has a pretty decent range. We live on five acres and have access to most of the lots on the property. The phones are Energy Star certified and appear to have good battery life. My wife has left cell phones without a charger for weeks and they still work perfectly. The last phone set I bought is over five years old and my cousin is still using it so I expect to have the same experience with it. While I've never been a huge fan of Matsushita products, Panasonic's phone offering seems pretty good. Made in China.
