A van friend recommended this product to me. I mentioned concern about mold growing on the inside of my van windows due to moisture buildup on cold nights (from gas heating, cooking propane inside, showering and breathing). I spent about 6 hours researching dehumidifiers because I had no idea how they work or what I need. Space is limited in a 35ft RV and I figured a small humidifier would do the trick. Many of these little ones only collect 20 ounces or 2 cups of water per day. I bought the VacPlus because I can program it to turn off at 40% humidity and turn off when the water box is full. I drain the water every 12 hours and remove an average of 10 cups of water in 24 hours. I was shocked. I'm on the water at an RV resort in Southern California. It was raining heavily and it was very humid. After two morning showers, I hung up the towels and turned on the dehumidifier in the bathroom. It really dries the towels and the shower. I usually keep it as low as possible in the living room/kitchen. The humidity outside was between 70-90%, while mine was 52% inside with the VacPlus on. When I turn on the electric heater, it drops to 40%. When the sun comes up, I open the windows and turn off the lights. I'm very sensitive to noise and the low noise level in the living room doesn't bother me while I'm sleeping in the bedroom. I hope this review helps other campers. I am very impressed and would recommend to all my friends and RV groups.
