May need to be replaced once a year
At the start of the ice season the sensor on my Helix 5 was working fine and I had all sorts of problems. I like jumping over holes and couldn't get any ground values at all. The whole graph showed all sorts of weird interferences. I ended up having to do a factory reset and the sensor still wasn't reading properly the entire time. Very disappointed. I bought Helix to transition from boat fishing to ice fishing.
