I renovated my whole house with new Kwikset exterior locks, hallway lock kits, bedroom sets etc. and bare handles. The lock is well made and locks or unlocks with ease. There is a difference between designing lock companies. One of the characteristics of external locks is the ability to independently recode all locks within minutes. They supply you with a thin metal key which you put in a tiny slot and insert the key (Kwikset) you want this lock to react to and wallah it's now bound to the new key. In my case I had three outside locks, a front door, a garage door and an outside garage door and in less than five minutes all three were now using the same key. It used to be an order for a big store where they bought at the price of each lock. What I like best is how they work, nice and smooth.[.]
