When using the USB-C port in alternate mode (ASUS G14 2021 laptop), this adapter normally drives the built-in DisplayPort monitor like expected. . However, it does not work when daisy-chaining adapters such as the Dell/BizLink DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter. I know the setup works because when I use the CableMatters USB-C to DisplayPort adapter instead, it works fine. Given that the "more normal" use case works well I can't justify deducting more than one star, but unlike the CableMatters adapter you don't get a fully compatible DisplayPort.
