I remodeled my bathroom and installed the seat in my new shower. It is actually very nice looking, easy to install, and feels incredibly sturdy. I purchased it ahead of time and put a 2 x 6 support in between the stud walls during construction. If not, the seat is not wide enough to hit two studs on 16 inch centers. If it were a concrete wall then I’m sure you would be fine but I do not know any people who have concrete walls behind their shower tile. That being said, my Installation seems incredibly strong and sturdy, easily holding my 6’3” 245 pound frame. Now for the reason I did not give it five out of five stars. After about a week of showering I noticed brown stain bleeding down the side of my white tile. I take a scrub brush and clean it off and then the next day it is back again. This stain comes off my tile easily but obviously this is a flaw in the manufacturing process. I am hoping that this will quit bleeding stain soon because I do love everything else about this product.
