Nevertheless, we can recommend them. I've been using them for about 20 years now. First there was the 600 ohm version. Not every device pulled them. Under them, two tube amplifiers and opamps were assembled - that's when I realized what kind of headphones they were . After a couple of years, a bounce appeared in one ear and I had to change them to the 250 Ohm version. I can't say that I lost something or won something by sound - both versions sound very good. Now there are different sources and amplifiers available - one thing can be said in order for the headphones to play well, they need an amplifier, it doesn’t have to be something big and expensive, but the standard output of a phone or laptop may not be enough for them. You can hear it, maybe it's a lack of damping - it's hard to say. I have not heard how magnetic planars sound, but these headphones are among the best among dynamic ones. As an alternative, you can look at, for example, Sinhizers - the same or more expensive price range (580 or momentums 3) is also very good, but it's just a different sound - it really depends on the taste and color. From the recommendations - USB Type-C DAC Miezu, a little garbage for 2-3tr, which works great in tandem with Bier, you can plug it into a laptop or phone (unfortunately not all) and enjoy the sound.
