Due to the poor settlement of our home, some of our doors will no longer "latch" when you close them. After several attempts to adjust the hammers, we gave up and started looking for alternative solutions. We tried several similar products (including a solid rubber product). This brand has worked the best, it's the easiest to install/remove and we can use several at a time when the doors need a little more "resistance" to stay closed when curious kittens try to open the doors to to join us. On one of our doors we only had to use one of these (required 3 rubber grommets which were difficult to attach/detach) and on the other door it took 3 to reach the required thickness. Luckily there are 6 in this set, so we still have a few extras in case we need them. The bonus (at least for us) is that they let the door close silently.
