Worked great for loosening the locking nuts - once we got the nuts out of the way. The locking lugs on my Jeep were of the type with a large rotating outer ring, which we didn't realize until we started using the tool. This will most likely not work for those who have not cut or completely cut off the ring to allow the socket to be attached onto the post portion of the tip. After we removed the rings everything worked great, so I think it would work great with the locking lugs without that rotating outer edge.
