Awesome little switch

This little switch is just what I need! If you've tried using gaming consoles through their wireless adapters, there's a lot you can do. In this case, I was far enough away from my 300Mbps Actiontec Wireless-N DSL Modem Router (GT784WN) that the wireless connection just wasn't acceptable, although everything within range was fantastic. I had several choices; buy a couple of powerline adapters (expensive, maybe they won't work in this house with old wiring, better not be the guy who accidentally lights the store etc.), or four very long and prominent ones (not quite in the right position) . other devices need other LAN ports to drill holes in the house, etc.) Ethernet cable. In my big scheme, I tried using Internet Connection Sharing with my laptop for my devices, which they were struggling with (open NAT could not be obtained through X). With this setup I also went back to using the laptop over the wifi and just wasn't happy with the situation. Then my brain clicked. Oh yeah! Switch! I managed to forget the switch somewhere in my empty brain. After spending about $10 on Revain and another $10 on Monoprice for a 100 foot ethernet cable, I ended up with a router that assigns IP addresses and a very long but hidden from guests ethernet -Cable going to the switch. The switch itself goes perfectly with my other gadgets. Overall I'm very happy with the LAN connectivity to my PS3, 360, Wii U and laptop for only $20!
