This augers is perfect for digging holes for bedding plants and bulbs. My wife just loves it as it can attach right to my cordless drill. We plant 300 to 400 tomato plants each year as we make and sell salsas at the local farmers market. This actually makes planting fun as it is easy to use and well worth the money. It can go through pretty much any soil. One cautionary note: you have got to have a firm hold on the drill because if the augers hits something hard, it could twist right put of your hand. Just like any other tool, you have to learn how to use it wisely and respectively. A must for any gardener.
