Powerhouse - Computers and Accessories

I've used many cheap routers over the years (configured as access points, ie without a LAN connection) - my original Cisco 350 worked well but couldn't provide modern security. Some of the newer models worked very well but just didn't deliver enough signal strength (Cisco average was -65 to -70 in typical workspaces, but others (Belkin to N and cheap Trendnet) were solid. 10dB lower in This One was about the same level as Cisco's original, maybe even a few dB hotter Setup was easy and intuitive The unit feels solid and it's nice to see real detachable antennas on the heavy side and can be easily unplugged from an outlet pull, and the coaxial power connector on the back of the unit would also benefit from a strain relief, in my opinion the unit could be installed anywhere, but there doesn't seem to be a viable way other than how to leave it freestanding It has also been mentioned by others that There is only one activity indicator for 4 LAN connections, so add a bit more effort and isolate any wiring problems h Electricity has its price - the power consumption is over 3 amperes at 12 volts and the device runs quite warm. All minor issues and the performance is really outstanding.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
