Very pure nickel. Steel without nickel plating. Stripes dissolved in acid for the project and no noticeable contamination from the deposition of nickel products.

Like the other reviewer, I'm a chemistry teacher. My students used the strips as nickel electrodes. The pre-cut strips were the perfect size and easy to use. I will order again.

There are 50 strips in the pack so there is something to experiment with. They are very soft and bend easily, so I was able to fold and crimp the strips in twos and threes and crimp them together to get a sufficient gauge for use in the coating solution (single gauge fell apart in the coating solution).

So I ordered this for my physics students to use in a heat engine that took advantage of the ferromagnetic properties of nickel. By heating the nickel, you can reduce its magnetic properties until it cools down again. The video they were watching called for a real nickel just plated with nickel. It did not work. So I ordered these strips and they worked GREAT.

High quality nickel strips. Nickel tested with a 48 hour rust free and non-sparking sea water bath with a high speed rotating grinding wheel. Pure nickel is ferromagnetic and will stick to magnets, testing with magnets is not the correct testing method.

Works well. I disassembled the strips to make nickel acetate for plating. Breaking the terminal will leave some dirt, but probably only a few percent of the weight. I haven't checked the dimensions, but the material is acceptable for my purposes.

They also cut easily. The connections I needed were 1" (24mm) long, so I ended up with 4 connections from each 4" strip. I salvaged four power tool battery packs, and there are plenty left over for other projects. They are easy to solder without tinning. They do not tear even with rough handling. The US Solid name is misleading, they are made in China.
