Useless and here's a Fluval fan.

Does nothing. This is bad. I made one myself with the lights and power supply (which worked really well) and foolishly got rid of it, thinking it was less bulky and that it was a 'good' brand. This is crap and borderline useless. I really regret buying this and almost everything in my tank is Fluval including the 407 in my 37 gallons which I am happy with. It's frustrating to find a brand that makes 80 percent of their products the best in the line and 20 percent that they water down with crap…

Should have bought sooner!

Bought from Petsmart, cheaper. For cleaning my tank it was perfect. I have small snails, fish of different sizes. With manual suction, the young snails were sucked in and then buried, which meant death for some. This allows me to see if children are being abandoned and makes it easy to make sure they don't get buried under gravel. It cleans much better than the suction type. I have used a gravity lift gravel cleaner for many years. I recently bought this to use for cleaning and replacing water in a large tank. Worked better than expected. Good suction and light helped a lot. Returns water to the tank through a filter, so this method cannot be used in small tanks. However, the included water changer allows water to be sucked into the hose (1/2" ID not included) and out of the tank. To add water, simply pour the vacuum into a bucket of clean water and reverse the…

Professional power cleaning!

I have a 60 gallon fresh water tank. I've been looking for a gravel cleaning solution other than removing and washing for a very long time. I have used the Fluval Aqua Vac+ but liked the low water flow through the filter and the ability to really pull dirt into the filter - even with fresh batteries. This "professional" version of AC is a quick upgrade. In the attached photo, the filters after the first cleaning. . . Garbage disposal 10 times more! Best Features: 1. Has an LED light that…
