Best Crayons Hands Down

These are so far my fave toddler toy. I looked around for a safe way for my daughter to be able to color and this is the best product around. Like most babies everything my daughter picks up goes straight in her mouth. I love these because they have thought of everything! They are not only non toxic but edible! The shape makes it easy for little hands to hold. The genuis thing they did was to put a hole in it to protect from choking, so when you baby does put it in their mouth (which they will)

Pros
  • Allows for fine motor skill development
Cons
  • 22. Not suitable for use on textured surfaces

Fun for stacking, not so great for coloring

Easy for little hands to hold, but awkward to apply pressure to draw with. Colors are not bright and have to press very hard to get decent color on paper. I would not purchase again. I would get the large Crayola crayons instead. Of note, the toddler LOVES stacking them and knocking them over though!

Pros
  • Quick and easy to put away after use
Cons
  • 50. Does not produce pastel colors

Good for 1 yr old on my review.

Super cute and easy for my one yr okd to use she runs around with them all day she throws them steps on them we’ve stepped on them too and they are still in perfect condition. I will say though they are not extremely pigmented we use them with her sometimes and its still light but some colors are perfectly fine.

Pros
  • Vibrant colors make for beautiful artwork
Cons
  • 18. Not suitable for use in art projects requiring precision

Good product! - my new review

I love these, and so does my one year old! When she puts them in her mouth I’m not to worried because of how they’re designed. They’re really durable and have a good pigment to them as well which I love. Overall happy with this product!

Pros
  • Can be used as a learning tool to teach colors
Cons
  • 29. Can be difficult to hold for extended periods of time

Worth every cent! for my opinion

These are fantastic. My son is behind on some levels, and all other crayons he would just snap in half. These are great. He actually colored (scribbled) an entire photo for the first time (he’s two). When he’s bored with coloring he will go straight into stacking them. he loves them, and I’m thrilled to see him enjoy them.

Pros
  • Provides a unique tactile experience
Cons
  • 38. Is not certified as non-toxic

Hard to hold, bad quality

I was looking forward to this product being good, but unfortunately that was not the case. The shape of the crayons is weird for a child to hold, but the hole in the middle is a really good idea in case they swallow it. Perhaps my son's hands are too little for it and it might work for bigger kids. However, the first crayon broke within a few hours of use. So far, 4 crayons broke. Little kids drop things, so they should be a lot more sturdy than this.

Pros
  • Makes a great gift for little artists
Cons
  • 42. Can be difficult to remove from walls

Easily breaks if thrown.

It easy breaks if it's thrown, so it MUST be used under supervision, specially with small kids. So, follow the seller's recommendation about the proper kids age: 2+ years old.

Pros
  • Easy on parents' budgets
Cons
  • 69. Not suitable for use in mixed media art projects

Impressive good for me

These are the best crayons for little ones. My daughter is a bit of a monster lol she bites and breaks everything but these she could not bite thru or break so she eventually colored with them! Very impressed

Pros
  • Easy to grip and hold
Cons
  • 20. Can be difficult for left-handed children to use

So different and easy to use!

Its fun to not only use to color, but to stack and play with, my little girl loves them. Her grandparents were so impressed with them also as they are multifunctional and cute!

Pros
  • Lightweight and easy to carry in a bag or backpack
Cons
  • 40. Not suitable for use on dark or black paper

Great crayons for little hands

My 1year old son loves these crayons! They are easy for him to hold. He does like to bang things so there are little dents in the crayons, but many of his toys are the same. I already bought more sets as birthday gifts for nieces and nephews.

Pros
  • Perfect for first-time crayon users
Cons
  • 43. Not recommended for use by children with developmental delays

Multiple use crayons :)

My son just turned one and I was looking for a safe, easy to hold crayon for him to learn how to color and also practice his fine motor and cause and affect skills. These are very easy for him to grip and the color comes out bright. He uses these to practice coloring and to also practice using his pointer finger. He sticks the bulb onto his fingers then takes them off. Off and on, off and on lol Oh they are also durable! He gets pretty rough with them and of course they have been thrown…

Pros
  • Non-toxic material ensures peace of mind for parents
Cons
  • 48. May cause allergic reactions for some adults

Break easily, toddler not interested

These didn’t last long with my 18 month old. One drop and they break. She enjoyed stacking them like blocks but the color transfer to paper is so light she had no interest in coloring with them. Even at almost 24 months now she prefers her regular big crayons and markers that were 1/3 the price.

Pros
  • Works well on different surfaces and textures
Cons
  • 28. Not suitable for use in coloring books

Very good crayons good for me

I was looking for something for our granddaughter. These works really well, and it is a joy to see her concentrating on drawing squiggly lines on paper (too young to actually draw anything). And she loves attacking them and just playing with them. She's hasn't tried to turn them into a meal, but with them being non-toxic, I'm not worried about her taking a bite out of them.

Pros
  • Great for a rainy day activity
Cons
  • 55. Not recommended for use by children with ADHD

Hollow and fragile: my feedback

These crayons are hollow and the tips break off. The crayons broke within minutes of the toddlers playing with them. I would purchase another brand if they were solid.

Pros
  • Will not dry out or crack over time
Cons
  • 49. Not suitable for use on sticky or adhesive surfaces

Pretty good but. good for me

The product I received didn’t come in the box that was pictured which is why I removed 2 stars. That’s a big no no for me because it makes me feel like I was duped into buying a different product that could potentially be of poorer quality. Having said that, the box I got still says non-toxic and edible so I guess I will just have to trust that it is the same product. I decided to try it out with my child and she threw it a couple of times but they didn’t break so that’s good. The quality…

Pros
  • Provides a fun break from screens and technology
Cons
  • 45. Can be difficult to remove from clothing

Great first crayons

I am an art teacher and can not wait till my son can use these! They come with 12 colors: red, orange, yellow, yellow-green, green, blue, light blue, purple, pink, peach, brown, and black. They will be easy for him to hold in his little hands since they have the ball shape at the end and great for working on his motor skills. The only thing I wish is that the colors were a little more intense when you draw/color with them, but these will be great first crayons for him.

Pros
  • Can be used as a form of relaxation for children
Cons
  • 64. Not suitable for use in contour or hard line drawing techniques

Buy These Crayons! good for me

These crayons are great. They're non-toxic, don't break (unlike some other popular brands I've tried for my toddler), they're sturdy, easy to use, don't waste away easily, pigmented, and my 2-year-old loves them. She loves coloring with them and stacking them. Her fingers are obviously small so she has a little trouble keeping them on but they are easy to grab from the side so it's no biggie. She'll grow into them.

Pros
  • what
Cons
  • Limited color options

More Stacking Than Coloring But That’s Learning Too

My kiddos really do like them but they’re 1 & 3 so just starting to color and as everyone else says they spend more time stacking them then coloring with them but whatever it’s still quality time with them and another something to do every few days to relax them for 30 minutes each time pull out. We haven’t had any break yet but after reading the reviews we make the kids keep them on the carpet area away from the tile floors so can’t drop and break. We use them on the floor not on a table where

Pros
  • Impresses with bold and bright colors
Cons
  • 54. Can be difficult to remove from car seats
