Exact fit for 30 " Toro Timemaster blade opening

I liked that the product is exactly the same as the one that broke. Works better than before and has extra parts in case the brackets are replaced in the future Great replacement product from Toro It even comes with instructions I already looked online for installation instructions Would order from this company again

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some flaws

Lubricate the bushings when installing the new bracket

As you can see this is a completely different design than the original cable (the large spring is new) and you will need to remove the original bracket that the spring is attached to and replace it. this is with a new bracket. It took about half an hour. I read another customer review that said the soft bushings need lubricating prior to installation and everything seems to work great. I assume people who say they need to replace the cable every few years aren't smearing.

Works as it should

I watched a few layman YouTube videos and found this part easy to install and setup myself. Delivered quickly and on time. It feels like it will last at least as long as the original equipment. Installation took approximately 30 minutes between removing the covers, clearing debris from the yard, installing and adjusting the tightness. I would recommend anyone, even remotely knowledgeable, to replace a Toro blade cable with just a few instructions on YouTube. I would buy again if I had the…

Cable that rusts after a year

Complete junk. It just broke for the second time. The same reason rust at the bottom of the cable. Garbage. This time I made sure the deck was completely clean after use. Also, Toro/Briggs and Stratton force you to buy a complete brake kit when you only need a cable. Timemaster Toro was the biggest waste of time and money ever. The quality is not up to standard. Everything on this mower has been replaced, including the engine. Tired of this. I was hoping to put my $1,000 back to use, but all I…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

. The blade brake system has been updated since 2012, so I had to install the rather large "rocker" that came with the kit. Disassembly and reassembly was difficult because a particular threaded bolt had to be pulled backwards under two V-belts and the large pulley had to be reassembled and blind screwed the whole plate into the body threaded bolt by feel because the washers got to put the threaded bolt back in place into the threaded bolt. It took me 4 hours because I didn't know what I was…

Pros
  • . Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • . Lots of things

Good price for assembly I think but I only needed the plastic tie next to the mower handle. Unfortunately, the design is such that you have to change the whole thing! poor design, and also that the plastic collar had to be aluminum for strength. Be sure to leave as much SLAV as possible before tightening the bottom screw. This cable doesn't need to be very tight when you hook it, and if it's taut the plastic tie will snap even on a new one. You don't want the hook to slip out of your hand, but…

Took less than half an hour. The blade brake system has been updated since 2012, so I had to install the rather large "rocker" that came with the kit. Easy mower repair: Braking system

Original cable snapped after two seasons. This replacement arrived but without instructions. This way you don't have to do it yourself: 1) Remove the plastic covers covering the straps with a 3/8 inch socket wrench. 2) Disconnect the cable spring hook from the pulley bracket. 3) Remove the wire clamp from the deck. Hold the power button by the handle 5) Rotate the old bracket up and then away from the handle 6) Knock off the old acorn nut, remove the old cable 7) Install the new cable - thread…
