I have a tile back splash and I use the strip for knives. We copy-catted Julia after watching her on PBS last century and noticed an array of knives held fast her to kitchen wall by a two-railed magnetic holder. It only took 4 knives and 35 minutes and the whole thing peeled away from the wall. the adhesive strip looked like crumpled tape after "the fall".On the bright side, I learned something new. Masonry Bits aren't meant for tile. Go figure. Needless to say after melting a drill bit, I got the right kind and managed to install a couple of screws to hang the knife holder. It wobbles a bit, but it definitely saves space in my drawers.

Update. Awesome customer serviceThe Seller jumped through hoops to help me.They sent me a new magnetic knife holder that attaches with screws. Their custoner service was excellent!I purchased this product in June and just got around to installing it. It does not stick. Waste of my time and money.

I was hoping to just stick this to the fridge using the magnetic properties. Unfortunately the adhesive is already on the magnetic bar preventing it from sticking to the fridge. I used the adhesive to put it up and it works great in my parents tiny kitchen. The knives are stored away safely, remain easily accessible, and look great. The only drawback is that I'm not looking forward to trying to remove this from the fridge when my parents move out.

Every two that I ordered were tightly glued together! The magnets were glued inside the boxes and could not be pried apart! I have returned them and am ordering from another company.

Was easy to mount with 3M tape. Love the look and frees up space on the counter. Waited 24 hours before placing knives and it seems solid.

Update 10/18/22: Still going strong. I've added a few more knives and a pizza cutter with no issue.Very easy to install. Knife holder has been up for a week and a half with no issue.

I dropped the stars down because they placed ugly lettering right there on the front so if a knife isn’t covering it it is quite unsightly and annoying

While I like the look and the set up was very easy, unfortunately the block is NOT fully magnetic as the description so adamantly describes. There is a 1” dead zone on both ends, which is a real bummer because I specifically ordered this product because I needed the full 20 inches of useable space. Buyer beware!

Stuck this on the wall, waited 24 hours, put the knives on it, 2 hours later the whole thing came crashing down. Thanks for attention.

Took a star off cause when I bought I looked to see if it would stick to fridge without the 3m tape and the reviews said yes magnet was strong enough, this was false. Not a big deal just wish I would've known.

Well it was easy to install it comes with its own a Adhesive, but I went ahead and use some screws for a better support to my liking so it was pretty easy to install and it’s a real good Space saver and you never lose a knife highly recommend it five stars.

Product arrived quickly, mounted in seconds and is beautifully handy.***UPDATE*** I had to replace the adhesive last week (just put 2 sided 3m tape on the old adhesive) Great product and the original adhesive lasted over a year, with every day use! Highly recommend

UPDATE: Almost a year later and once again this knife bar failed. I found my knives all over the counter and the magnetic bar dangling. Very disappointed as I really like the magnetic strength. So, I can't recommend this knife holder. I'll be looking for an alternative.The magnet is very strong. However, this holder definitely needs an additional mounting option. I’ve had these magnetic knife holders for most of my kitchens. I love this one as it’s a bit wider than most and the knives don’t move! Very good price for a quality product. Also love the 3m sticky thing on the back. Can use in workshop too for tools!

Magnetism is strong. Plate is long enough for all my main kitchen knives. Purchased this item for two locations That's my feedback.
