No regrets with purchase

Not as flexible as I thought so it took a little time for me, a senior, to put on all six chairs. Plastic is kind of hard. This dinning set isn’t used much so hopefully the leg covers will last a long time. Having the covers will put my mind at ease when I have my family over for the holidays.

Pros
  • Will not scratch or damage even the most delicate of floor finishes
Cons
  • Can add extra bulk or weight to chairs

Extremely pleased so far

Not difficult to install, fit perfectly, and blended to the point of barely being noticeable. Did not have to heat the product as suggested in instructions. Chairs glide silently and effortlessly. Pad on bottom is not very thick. Time will tell how durable they are but so far I’m thrilled. Only reason didn’t give a fifth star because too soon to tell if durable.

Pros
  • Comes in a pack of 16, making it easy to protect multiple pieces of furniture at once
Cons
  • Can be ineffective against sharp or pointed objects

Perfect solution good for me

For years I have been using the hammer on kind that you buy at home improvement stores and they eventually fall out or break. I buy new ones and start all over again but the nail hole gets bigger with time and then they won’t stay in at all. I got a bad scratch on my wood floor so I looked on Ebay and found these. They are wonderful! They went on great and fit snugly. I removed all the old ones so that they could snug up tight. And they are barely visible. Also they seem pretty sturdy so I…

Pros
  • Long-lasting and offers a great value for money
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove after long-term use

The most useful thing I've ever bought

I am SO happy I bought these. I needed something to keep my chairs from scratching up my floor and I've tried the nail on plastic pieces (still scratch) and the stick on felt ones (my toddler rips them off and eats them!). When these first arrived I thought they would be too small for my chair legs after trying to get them on for a few minutes. Then I realized they had included a handy tip in the box. If you're having a hard time getting them on, boil the protector things for a few seconds, I…

Pros
  • Will not yellow or crack over time
Cons
  • Can be difficult to match or coordinate with other decor

Only wish I'd found these sooner

I'd tried different floor protectors with no luck. They'd either slide off, break off or did not look good. These are absolutely perfect. I'd tried felt or plastic, but these are the first that are a combination of both. They're flexible enough to slide on easily and snug enough to stay put, permanently it seems (had mine for about 3 months). I love the fact that they're clear because this makes virtually invisible, and the felt allows you to just glide the chairs without any effort or damage…

Pros
  • Ideal for use with delicate or expensive flooring
Cons
  • May not offer enough protection for delicate flooring

They stay on!: my feedback

I use these on kitchen chairs that are very heavy wood. We just purchased a new lux plank floor and wanted some protection. The stick on/nail on then stick on felt pads did NOT stay on the chairs with scooting. These clamp nicely to the leg and have the felt bottom for protection. I am VERY happy with them! I've only had them a week so I can't really rate durability but they appear to be sturdy yet flexible enough to get on various shaped legs.

Pros
  • Supports the weight of your furniture effectively
Cons
  • Can make chairs more difficult to move or slide

Good solution in my review

We have recently had hardwood floors put in the kitchen, so I had been using stick on felt pads under the chair legs, which were either falling off or slipping off to the side. So far, the MelonBoat protectors seem like a great solution. They were easy to put on, yet fit snuggly. They are visible, therefore a little less attractive, but that is the only downside so far.

Pros
  • Can be easily removed and reused if needed
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find replacement parts

Hard To Install But Solves the Problem

Best thing since sliced bread. I have an older 1990’s dining set. The wood discs on the chair legs were really doing a number in my new flooring. While these were difficult to get on, they do have stay on power. I used a hair dryer to slightly heat a couple that were really difficult to get on. One needed a little dab of Petroleum jelly to get in place. Being clear silicone makes them "invisible”. The chair legs being slanted are not an issue with this type chair leg cap. The protection part…

Pros
  • Very affordable and easy to replace
Cons
  • May not fit older or vintage furniture

No more scratched floors!

Great product! Easy to install, chairs slide easily over the floor. My floors are marble, & furniture can scratch & chip them, but these silicon caps solve that problem. Because the caps are clear, they don't interfere with the look of the oak stools.I have used these on with chairs on marble floors, & also on my piano bench on an engineered wood floor. Using these means the beauty of the floors can be seen & the floors are not cluttered with rugs.New use! I put these on the metal feet of the…

Pros
  • Ideal for spaces with a lot of foot traffic
Cons
  • May not offer enough cushioning or shock absorption

Good option on my review.

Took a chance in ordering this item. Was pleasantly surprised that they work on the chair legs and do not fall off. Not sure how long the cushions will last with constant use, but have enough extras to replace. Good purchase for the cost.

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • Can be difficult to install on some furniture

Easy to put on on my review.

The chair protector cups were very easy to put on. I do wish that the felt on the bottom was a bit thicker. I feel that they will wear down quickly. They previous ones I had on there turned into a woodworking project just to get them off. I believe these will fare much better and not cause me that kind of grief.

Pros
  • Will not damage your furniture legs
Cons
  • May not stay in place on chairs used by heavy individuals

Works fine on hardwood

the only issue i have with these is once on the chair leg they tend to stretch out a bit and become "uncentered" on the leg - especially if its a chair that gets moved around a lot

Pros
  • Perfectly fits round chair legs with a diameter of 1'-1.3/16'
Cons
  • Can come off when moving a chair

Great until they stretch

Our chair legs are tapered. These fit pretty well, and in fact are hard to get on when new. After a while, they stretch and then they won't stay on. Wife says she read if you put them in hot water they will relax back into place. But we are too lazy to try it. But, even so, they have worked a lot longer than the stick on pads, and don't collect lint/gunk like the felt pads tend to do either. Mostly happy with them. Our chair legs are not flat on the bottom, and they are tapered. They are on a…

Pros
  • Can be used both indoors and outdoors
Cons
  • May not stick well to wet or moist surfaces

No more felt pads! good for me

The best foot covers for stools! We have been trying to use felt pads under our bar stools for 2 years. They would fall off and leave sticky residue everywhere. These solved that problem instantly! We’ve had them for 4 months or so now, and they’re holding up perfectly!

Pros
  • Furniture Cups
Cons
  • Can become loose over time and cause damage to the floor
