Great design but very poor execution

Someone once told me that the difference between carpentry and carpentry is how much a hundred dollar bill fits in the gaps. These tools clearly belong to a carpenter, not a carpenter. The design is nice, but the execution really leaves a lot to be desired. The gap also creates numerous health problems as bacteria and food can get in and out, and all that you later recover. Skip these guys

Not exactly what I expected

Claws would probably be fine, but a few things don't feel right. The wood appears to be of good quality but the finish is very oily which does not bode well for the 'dishwasher safe' description. The metal claw itself is advertised as 18/8 stainless steel but appears to be some type of cast metal - stainless steel is not cast! Third, they were described as "large"; While I have to admit that I have fairly large hands, I can barely get a claw to my knuckles. Finally, claws have been described as

Extremely sharp edges, a lot of work

I'm really torn. Castings and metal are very high quality, but just not processed properly. They had clearly never been sharpened, and the edges (not the cut surface) were sharp enough to cut themselves. The edges were all very sharp which made me think they just missed the deburring tank. They were mostly unfinished castings with ground/brushed top plates with wooden handles. The blades were unsharpened and not at all like knives.
