Ideal for projects suitable for car AV installation

I used this for a slightly custom project. On older Subaru, you could mount a subwoofer under the seat to give the stereo a fuller sound. With newer cars, they started using custom subwoofers that the owner couldn't easily add. I used it in my fiance's 2010 Forester. Due to differences in pins used on different models, I had to move two wires to get full function of the stock radio. If this suspension were completely filled, it would save time in this regard. Otherwise perfect for my project.

Has NO steering cables

Disappointed to say the least. I received this wiring harness under the impression that it had steering wheel control wires (as stated in the title) but as soon as the installation began my installer informed me that this wiring harness does not actually have steering wheel control wires. So rather than delaying my install date to order and wait for a replacement, we installed it as is. My system sounds great so the wiring harness itself works fine but now I have to order a new wiring harness…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are flaws

I first ordered the Metra wiring harness 70-7552 and quickly found that it was missing the steering wheel control pins from the factory radio harness. . This wiring harness is of high quality and includes the missing pins/wires to integrate the secondary steering wheel mount module with the aftermarket radio. It worked great with Axxess ASWC-1 for my 2014 Subaru Forester. I am impressed! I can choose their rear camera integration next instead of the vampire that connects to the little data…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

NEARLY completed work on my 2016 Nissan Frontier

In an attempt to save $ I used this to keep the steering wheel controls comfortable. Everything works except for the call/hangup/command functions. Apparently they are Bluetooth native. That means you have to exit CarPlay mode to receive calls. After programming the stereo functions several times, it still does not work. I have an ASWC-1 (Revain doesn't accept returns) so I might try that. But the point wasn't to crash into the factory wires. I know some people hold SWC successfully with only…

Works perfectly! Call AutoHarnessHouse if you need help

Fits 2012 Subaru Legacy/Outback (same stereos without navigation). Here's the thing: Do you know what new stereo you're about to install? I had to use a spliced AUX wire to get the steering wheel control wires to work as my SONY XA VAX1000 has a remote connector on the back and there is no room in the wire harness that the unit came with for those 4 extra wires (you need to do not use the 4th red steering wheel wire if you are using spliced AUX). If you are using a Sony device, you may face the

No factory cables, great service

I used this harshness to install an ATOTO SA102 main unit and ASWC-1 interface in my 2010 Subaru Legacy. At first I couldn't get the buttons on the steering wheel to work. I called Axxess support and they insisted I cut the factory wires. Instead, I contacted AutoHarnessHouse support. Brian asked me a series of questions about my setup and told me what to do. I really, really, really recommend this AutoHarnessHouse harness! My working configuration is below. 2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Premium (No…
