A must for tramps

Bought this a year ago and used it on a couple of cross country trips. It's a solid block and I haven't had any problems with it. I find the remote-controlled on/off switch particularly useful. Our inverter and battery can't handle a 1500w air conditioner, microwave, hair dryer or coffee maker, but we have a 3500w generator for that. It easily handles our lamps and TVs and charges our laptops, phones etc when we are out and prevents us from running the generator at night. I'm not an electrician

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Really good PURE sine wave inverter

Amazing how many inverters seem to hide that they only provide a modified sine wave which is not good over the long term. The health of air conditioners for example, and as far as I know not even microwaves can run. Also, having a pure sine wave inverter with all my electronics gives me peace of mind that I don't mind paying extra for it. Anyway, I've tried several inverters and I'm pretty sure that this one is the best so far. The article meets these requirements. It is VERY durable and…

Really good quality inverter

Good quality inverter. I have tested it thoroughly and it works up to 2000 watts. I tested the sine wave with an oscilloscope and it is indeed a real sine wave inverter and the sine wave stayed pretty stable under load. Inside you can see that the components are of good quality. I use this daily to power my fridge and electronics off solar battery charging. It's damn effective. I think I measured a no-load current draw of just over 0.3 amps and it was 90% efficient. My only gripe with this is…

Excellent performance

I bought this inverter when I changed my system configuration to 24V. My old inverter was 12v 1500w pure sine wave and ran at around 115v. It worked ok most of the time but couldn't. I can't get along with my big ShopVac and even with a light load the inverter fans would come on every few minutes. This inverter runs everything I connect to it at the same time, including the ShopVac and the fridge. Its output is 120V, with high loads the voltage drops a little. At 1200W, the voltage never drops…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • No automatic

Compared to several inverters of different sizes (power), all 24V

Summary: I have a small solar/photovoltaic system (880W panels), 24V, 165Ah (six batteries). I first ordered a 6000W inverter which turned out to be too big for this system. So I ordered this 2000W Voltworks, but the parasitic power consumption during the night was still too high, so I opted for an even lower 300W (to only power a 15W 120V AC load). I still use 2000w when charging my 56v ego batteries as this charger uses 550-600w. I also used a 300w rice cooker instead of 2000w. Remarks: The…
