2006 Honda Accord Remote Combo Review

Non-OEM item, electronics work fine, I had to replace that. The knobs fit snugly in the bearing housing, but everything works and it's a lot cheaper than replacing the original.

I had a mobile auto mechanic come straight to my address, he told me he guaranteed the keys would work because he didn't sell them to me but he cut and programmed them in about 5 minutes. Keys work like stocks.

Keys delivered on time with no problems but I can't program. Does this work with a 2006 Honda Civic? The instructions are not easy to read, why not post a video on YouTube? no customer support

I bought this item to replace a broken key fob. I kept the original key, key base and replaced the chip. There are videos on YouTube on how to do this. After that, programming a new key fob became child's play. This is a continuation of my original review. After less than two months of operation, the key fob is completely dead. Tried to change the battery but still died. It turns out it was cheap and not free. When I contacted the seller, he also offered a full refund. Glory to them.

This is NOT a non-branded OEM factory part, it is a counterfeit. The circuit boards are different, the parts are not interchangeable with the original key. The key is programmed and works fine but my remote functions died after 3 months. That's it. My tip is to just tell people you get what you pay for. Both of my 2006 Honda Accord FOBs were bad and I was having trouble getting the Honda bolt out to change their batteries (it's glued in). So I ordered one of those replacement parts and used a saw to (carefully) cut out the old key bolt. Luckily, with patience and a pair of pliers, I got the screw out of the FOB key part so I could use it with these new FOB parts. So I redesigned the key and used new parts to get the job done. Keys arrived quickly. I took them to a locksmith who sharpened them and then checked the keys in the ignition. The keys turned in the lock but the car would not start. The locksmith disassembled the keys to examine the microchip. The chip does not fit the 2006 Honda model. The locksmith gave me the correct chip number. I contacted the seller, DiscountKeyless. I told them the wrong chip was in the keys and told them which chip I need. DiscountKeyless told me that I would have to return the keys…
