Does not work. Not water proof. Save your money!

Not only does this thing not work, but the metal rings are not stainless, so if it rains, they will rust and leak all over your paint. Suction cups are not designed to attach with the panel facing up. The electronics box is too thick, so it's intended to be mounted inside the car and attached to the windshield. Either way, it does not work. Save your money and buy a plug-in battery tender.

Good value for price

Well made solar panel .works great for trailer batt charger ,maintainerI wouldn’t bother with the suction cups ,I bolt the panel down with spacers and hardwire the leads .I have purchased 4 so far and will buy more .

Works great. on my review.

Got tired of having to jumpstart the farm truck any time I needed to use it.Installed this on a battery too weak to turn the engine over.Checked back a couple of days later and she fired right up.

Super solar for me best in my review

I'm sure whoever made this it's really happy for making other people happy because I am definitely happy when I can keep my diesel pickup from losing its battery I have mounted this on the front windshield and it connected to the cigarette lighter when it charges up my battery well that's two batteries LOL

10 watt solar battery charger

I bought it to hook up to my generator to keep the battery charged. I like the lights on the back that confirm it’s charging. Even sitting in my garage not directly facing the sun it still charges when my garage door is open.

Not as advertised. for my opinion

Nice packaging. Has nice long cord and three different connection options. But I ordered two of these to maintain lawn mower batteries over the winter, and when I connected them to two batteries. One was fully charged to 13.7 V and the other was not, at about 12.4 V.Both panels put out only 40 mA of current. At 5 Watts, they should have been putting out ten times that.

These don’t last long

I bought this 20W kit on Aug 12, 2021. It lasted 9 months, then the charge controller failed… the status lights stayed dark.While the suction cups suck, I was happy with the job it did and was willing to buy a replacement 9 months later.So, I bought a new 20W kit on May 30, 2022.Same poor quality suction cups.The new kit performed great, just like the first kit. But, by Sep 24, 2022, the new kit failed as well… exactly like the first kit… but, after ONLY about 4 months.I’m very dissatisfied…

Keeps the house battery up in storage

Placed the solar panel in a side window of my RV and ran the wire back to the battery. Don't turn my battery disconnects off anymore while in storage. 1.5 amp draw when parked more than made up for.

Works well. - my new review

The product is perfect for my need. The only change I would make would be to the alligator clips. The clips work great, if you can attach the clips vertically to the battery posts. If your battery sits high under the hood and there is little room, when the hood closes, it is difficult to get the clips to properly hold. Improving the clips to grab in a horizontal position would be a great improvement.

Great effective solar charger!

If you want an all in one package to keep a charge on your batteries, this system is awesome! The prewired and mounted charge controller is just one less thing to buy or worry about. Not to mention it comes with almost any connection you could need. Highly recommend.

Short Lifespan - my new review

Works great when it is working, longevity was three months. I have three of these panels, two are three months old, one is two months old. For no apparent reason, one of the three-month old panels stopped charging. It recognizes that it is under the sun, as indicated by the blue light, but it will not charge a battery. The 20w charging is great for keeping batteries topped off, but at 50 dollars and only three months use, it is not worth the cost.

Stop being cheap and get this one and be done.

My 04 Dodge Ram Diesel sits for weeks and months without being driven. Lesser solar chargers weren't keeping the batteries topped off. This one does. I just got back from checking after 90 days parked and the batteries were at 12.6 volts. With the internal battery charge controller I don't have to worry about overcharging either. I just lay it on my dash and plug it into my power port (cigarette lighter) on the dash that's always powered on.Before this I tried a 1/2 watt, a two watt and a 5…

Dead in 6 months for my opinion

I've had this charing a lead acid battery that powers my automatic chicken coop door for about six months. It worked just fine. then it just quit. I've probed it with my multimeter and it shows 16V (open circuit) and zero amps when shorted. Something inside it died.The blue led is on indicating it has sun (when in full sunlight), but it's neither indicating a full charge on the battery nor charging and my battery keeps dying.We'll find out how the customer support is.

Questionable QC in my review

The panel seems to be working, however I question it’s water integrity. The controller, mounted on the back of the panel, was cracked when I opened the package despite the foam packing. I am annoyed that the company is so careless.

Use battery clips - my new review

Good product , but, unless you have a a fair amount of sunlight the plug in to cigarette lighter with the little red light will drain the battery.In my case I get about 5 hours of indirect light using the plug wasn't keeping it charged more than 2 weeks.Using the direct clips has been keeping it fully charged. Alan N. has a great suggestion which Ill be doing soon
