My only beef is that the screws that hold the blades onto the frame seem to come loose and create a gap at the very tips of the blades. Tightening the screws will fix the problem temporarily until the threads get stripped and the trimmers become useless.

I am new to the Bonsai Community. This set was refered to me by a friend. It is an excellent addition to my Bonsai tools. That's my review.

I bought these for my bonsai tree in order to maintain it. The Clippers come in a plastic sleeve, each with its own compartment, and they are pretty sharp. I have used them to clip some offshoots off as well as some leaves, they have a bit of power to them, but nothing that could cut through a branch or large stem. Exactly what I needed at a price that I was satisfied to pay. Good Buy for a beginner set of tools.

I don't know what these were originally intended for, but I use them for trimming medicinal cannabis at harvest. These won't work on stems, but I don't think they were supposed to be used that way (title says "leaf" trimmers). not sure why i like these. i think i just like to be the guy with the nifty tool. they work fine. nothing special. just neato. they might be a little small for most people, but they are just right for me. be the guy on your block with the interesting stuff. get these.

I use this for tending to my cacti and succulents. I absolutely love the mini shovel for grooming and re-potting plants. The scissors are wonderful and I want many more. The little rake is perfect for getting root-bound plants separated for new pots and I use it for fixing soil around them once potted.

The Bonsai pruning kit was a big hit with my nephew. He has been using it since Christmas morning and loves it. He said the tools are very helpful in keeping his Bonsai looking nice.

I would have given these 5 stars, except the bow on them is made of plastic, and time will tell how well they stand up to use. The blades are made of good stuff and are very sharp.Give a pair to the sewer (seamstress?) in your life to use as a thread trimmer.

This is a nice set for detail cuts on your small plants. I suppose it can be used for other purposes but have only used mine for cuts on some of my Bonsai. They are delicate and do require getting used to using such a small set of essentially garden scissors for the potted Bonsai plants. They are like tiny clippers and good for small detail work. I, like another reviewer was disappointed. The trimmers are identical and the rake is simply junk, of no use at all. Even though the price was low I expected better. There no way I would ever order from the bamboo company if the rake is a sample of what they sell. I thought about returning everything but as the trimmers are functional I will keep one and share the others. I don't recommend these items.

Came quickly ,good quality for the price but make sure you read the description carefully you get 3 trimmers and a rake does not come with the pruners like the picture.

As the other reviewers, three of the same large sheep shearing looking clippers, a spoon, a rake, and lots ads for socks and bamboo products. The clippers are sharp and do the job, it's just not as advertised.

These are what you pay for: Inexpensive and therefore not great quality. I plan to see if I can sharpen the edges for a better cut. They do work as is, but the cut will be a bit course for delicate trimming. The rake was a bit catawampus (twisted, askew), and not worth much-- but that was not why I bought the set, so I didn't care (If you want a nice little rake, this is not the set for you!

Well made, cute little tools in an adorable little box. I wouldn't be too rough in the box though, seems lacking in the clasp area, but I'd imagine if you do Bonsai you wouldn't be that rough anyways. Each of the three scissors has it's own pouch, keeping your fingers safe when grabbing items out. It's nice to see most of items are actually branded with the company name.Definitely recommend.

I purchased this as a beginning tool kit for a bonsai tree I have going right now.Honestly, the rake is completely flimsy and not durable at all.The actual trimmers on the other hand are GREAT. they come extremely sharp! and they do a great job.The price is inexpensive and you get three of them! I have decided to keep one for myself as a little beard trimmer. its small and easy to hold to get those pesky strays.

This is a decent product for care of a bonsai tree. I needed one and this is working well. It might be slightly flimsy but works.

Just received my Bonsai pruners and bamboo rake. They arrived in short order as scheduled. As I expected they are cheap but functional. However I am disappointed that all three pruners are exactly the same size, what friggin good is that? I suppose Bonsai masters can use two hands at once, but they don't have three hands.
