Light weight is an advantage in some situations and a disadvantage in others. Adjusting the wrench is easier than my regular tubular wrenches because this wrench has less play.

These pipe wrenches from Ridgid are built to last. Light weight is my new thing because it was easy to carry around a whole bunch of tools and get into certain positions. Pay extra money to have extra energy during the day because those heavy foods are heavy.

I finally had to replace a 14" aluminum wrench I bought in 1986. Probably averaging more than 4 days a week for 35 years. It is finally worn out (aluminum body, no jaws). If ever there was a product that showed value for money, it probably is! Highly recommended.

Against common sense I bought a cheaper fake and ended up sending it back! It's my fault I wasted my time and should have bought the RIGID from the start! Their hard-earned reputation is solid for a reason (or a million reasons).

What can I say, it is Ridgid brand and very good quality, never buy a cheap pipe wrench. I only use them for home use, but I have some of the same Ridgid pipe wrenches that I use at work. And if you choose between aluminum and steel, you choose aluminum without a doubt.

Industry standard. There is no point in going cheaper and buying something else. Personally, I own 18", 24" and 36" aluminum. I don't care what the price difference is, get the largest aluminum pipe wrenches. I understand you could get them cheaper from another brand, but you'll find them at the End up replacing at Ridgid anyway.Buy quality tools once or you will regret it.

I have been a pipe fitter for over 13 years and ONLY use Ridgid pipe wrenches. Every decent pipe fitter has a set of Ridgid wrenches in his tool bucket. The pipe wrench it should be. hold great Grabs whistles like a champ. Strong lightweight. Ridge is what you need for pipe wrenches. The teeth are sharp and stay sharp even after years of use.
