Description of πŸ”§ Power Steering Pressure Line Hose Assembly for BMW E46 3 Series 323Ci 325Ci 330Ci 328Ci 328i 323i 325i 330i - Part # 32416796390 (Replaces # 32411094951)

A pressure line hose connects a power steering pump to the cylinders in an electronic power steering system. The pump routes pressurized power steering fluid into the steering rack, where it is used to control the steering wheel turn rate. This Power Steering Pressure Line Hose Fits for the Following BMW E46 Vehicles: 2000 323Ci, 2000 - 2006 325Ci with M54 Engine Only, 2001 - 2006 330Ci, 2000 328Ci, 1999 - 2000 328i, 1999 - 2000 323i, 2001 - 2005 325i, 2001 - 2005 330i. Customers can find the product you need accurately according to the OE number. OEM replace part number: 32416796390, 32411094951, 32 41 1 094 951, 32 41 6 796 390. Power steering pressure line hoses and return hoses can wear down over time and become corroded or develop leaks. Most high-pressure lines are metal, whereas low-pressure lines are made of rubber. Power steering hoses are exposed to high temperatures when the engine is running. The composition of power steering fluid and the pressure generated by a power steering pump can also degrade hoses over time. In addition to risking potential damage to the power steering system, a failed pressure line hose can eliminate steering assist and make any car or truck much more difficult to steer. Power steering fluid is also flammable and may ignite upon making contact with hot surfaces. Look for any signs of rust on a power steering pressure line hose and cracks or bulges in rubber hoses. If there are any indications of a leak, such as moisture on or near hoses, low fluid levels in the reservoir or a smell of burning fluid, you should replace the damaged hoses and refill the power steering fluid reservoir. This Power Steering Pressure Line Hose Fits 99 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 years BMW cars.

Unreliable Steering Component - Waste of Money

After I put it to the test, this steering component failed to live up to expectations. While it may have worked for a short time initially, it soon became clear that it was not built to last. The pro is that it is easy to install, but ultimately the cons outweigh this minor benefit. I would not recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable steering system.

Pros
  • High-quality construction ensures durability and longevity
Cons
  • Requires professional installation, which adds to overall cost

Some adjustments may be required.

Carefully inspect the fitting before installing it in the oil cooler. I had to use a pickaxe to take everything apart and then put it back together properly. The o-ring and gaskets were located on the SIDE of the fitting. The plastic retaining ring had to be trimmed with excess material to make it work due to improper molding. Very poor quality control.

Pros
  • Look for signs of rust on the power steering pressure hose and cracks or bulges on the rubber hoses. If there are signs of a leak, such as B. Moisture on or near the hoses, low fluid level in the reservoir, or smell of burnt fluid, replace the damaged hoses and add fluid to the power steering reservoir. This power steering pressure line hose is suitable for BMW cars 99 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 years old.
Cons
  • Available in black only.

Hose Clamps Good Not Very Good

As previously mentioned, this hose would not snap no matter what I tried, including tapping with a hammer and a straight edge. To get it to work I had to remove the plastic release ring and remove the 4 pin locking tab from the old original hose and swap it onto the new hose. After replacing the retaining clip, the new hose was locked in place with minimal effort by pushing it open with one hand. The 4-pin metal clip that came with the hose looks wrong. Save yourself the hassle and either buy…
