🚘 K&N Engine Air Filter: High Performance, Premium, Washable Replacement Filter for 2011-2017 HONDA Odyssey (33-2461) Review

No improvement in performance, no increase in gas mileage but it's a filter and I'm sure it filters and I'll give them 5 stars for pushing me to buy it, especially if there is a kit for cleaning it will cost more than a new filter.

I bought this product because it is a reusable replacement filter as opposed to the standard filter that came with the car. This will last me a long time compared to the standard model which is much more cost effective over time.

I always buy a K&N Life Filter for each of my cars, trucks and vans. They last the life of the owner and seem to reduce mileage quite a bit. Cleaning is a breeze with one of their cleaning kits. I believe this is a cheap upgrade for your engine that has vehicle life benefits.

The package came with a dented box. The plastic packaging is torn off what appears to be a used or returned product. It's good that the filter wasn't damaged even during the initial inspection. I am not happy with this as I pay the same price as the auto parts store and get this part of poor quality and possibly used.

Purchase for 2015 Honda Odyssey. Uses a K&N air filter on the latest 2005 Honda Odyssey and other vehicles. The last filter you have to buy pays for itself in about 3-4 filter changes. Comes with decals to place on the airbox to prevent a service technician from removing your filter. I couldn't find any performance test data for this car, but I have another car that I installed a K&N air filter on and noticed an immediate performance increase.

And the cabin filter and engine filter had to be replaced. The Honda Odyssey had almost 50,000, I bought it 6 months ago for 45,000 for a previous owner car, but I think they never changed the filter. For $100 I made both filters myself and now I don't have to clean them to 100k. You don't have to spend extra money at the dealer who changes them all the time. I bought one of these for my truck and was so excited I bought the same for my wife's 2011 Honda Odyssey. She increased her average mileage by about 1.5mpg. Which I think is significant. The filter has been in their van for about 1,000 miles, so I'm pretty sure I'm using the before and after MPG measurement to report a 1.5x gain. This means that as of November 2012 there is actually a saving of around 20-25 cents per gallon. Given that she drives about 1,500 miles a month, it will soon pay off.

Over the years I have had extensive experience using K&N filters in various OEM exchange and custom applications. This filter has not let me down. It is suitable for air box. Perfect for 2017 Honda Odyssey. Actually had an MPG crash on install which surprised me. I removed the filter and cleaned it with a K&N cleaning kit. I felt like maybe it was too saturated.
